Replacement/rebuilt ABS pump

Sunset shows so stock. Pelican has stock but the price is close to 5000$.

I did did pick up a Benz pump and got as far as I could taking it apart just to get an idea of what I’m up against. There are 5 valves and 2 are accessible. The other 3 are as far as I can tell, not. So I may be good just cleaning and replacing these 2 but not sure if that is going g to solve the problem.

I tested the unitinthe car and both front valves are non operational- but I’m not sure which of the 5 valves are the fronts and ideally the whole unit should be tip top anyway.

So so any sources for these or are we looking only at new pumps. If so I guess I’ll be hiding off on a bunch of other upgrades I was planning :(

The eccentric morion of the motor operates two small shuttle valves. These can be removed and cleaned, the Porsche ones often rust and seize but the Merc one should be ok as they live in the engine bay. The two ABS units are identical iirc.

Let me know if you need help locating one here to ship if the rebuild fails. I got my replacement from a local dismantler for small $.

Thx! That’s looking like a good option at this point. And would leave enough in the bank account to put towards the brakes themselves.

Thx for the link Ras- That’s where I got he idea to go for it in the first place. The shuttle valves are out and are super clean. These are just the inner pistons which ride on the cam but the valves themselves are squeaky clean as well

But the solenoids are impossible to access. I am not totally sure which are the problem. @cajonfan any advice as to which are the valves specifically for the front?

Perhaps the easiest way to map the solenoids to their circuits (front left, front right, or rear) is to trace their wire pairs back to the connector.
