New Seat Belts......... Color Selection..... Where to buy?

What's a good source for seat belts? I've found them at Suncoast Porsche but not necessarily in the color I believe I'd like. Also, Suncoast price for a pair, on sale, is $750 bucks. Is that pretty accurate for what I should expect to spend?

I reached out to Seatbeltplanet.com last week and I am waiting on color samples. I plan on having the seatbelts refurbished so that they retract properly and also change the webbing color. I don't know much about them, they just popped up when I did a Google search. I still have to ask them about safety standards they adhere to and I am not sure on the pricing so far, but they have a nice color selection.

If you want real Porsche belts, you've got four color choices: Black, Red, Blue, or Yellow. $700-900 is normal for a new set of Porsche front seatbelts.
There are some companies that will rebuild your existing belts with seatbelt webbing in whatever color you want and this is a fair bit less expensive.
Obviously, these rebuilds don't have to meet any safety standards and quality probably varies, so you'll have to decide how much risk (and liability) you're willing to accept.

Just picked up a set of seatbelts with the buckles and all hardware from Design911 for a reasonable price. Nice color to match my exterior

There are companies out there like Seatbelt Plantet that have been certified and meet all safety regulations. I had my belts done there. I picked custom hardware (not listed on their website) because I wanted the belts to look as close to OEM as possible, If I remember correctly I kept my OEM receivers and picked custom buckle and shoulder loops. $600 for all 4 belts.

Thanks!
Andrew

Good info. I was just on their site and my first thought was "I have to use non-factory receivers?" I hope to keep everything stock in appearance as possible, only changing the webbing color. Would like to see what custom hardware you ended up with, if you could post photos here.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

I had them done in 2015. After going through my emails it looks like I kept the OEM buckle and only changed the front shoulder loops since the plastic on mine was cracked. Their premium selection of shoulder loops looked to modern and I asked them for their standard line, which looked almost exactly like OEM. They don't list these on their website but they sent me pictures of what they had available. Obviously you don't have to change any hardware if yours is in good shape.

I bought my red belt material from Seat Belts Plus... friendly folks and will provide any color swatches you need. Then had my local upholstery shop assemble/sew them to the original spools.

Hope your upholstery shop was certified to sew seat-belts. A while ago on this forum there was a discussion about poorly sewed belts.

Thanks!
Andrew

Please note. the refurbished belts from Seatbelt Planet are serialized "white tag below Porsche tag"

Thanks!
Andrew
