Default Chrome Cup 1?

Did factory ever made Chrome Cup 1's? Can you tell if this is Authentic?

Wheel is real HOWEVER it was chromed after the fact. The factory NEVER made a Chrome Cup 1.

Yes, Chrome wheels and Porsche are basically a no-no post the 356/early 911/912 steel wheel era. Chrome was wildly popular in the 80's and 90's so either owners sent them out to be chromed or even dealers (gasp!) had them done on the lot before delivery (I worked at a dealer in this era and sadly we were guilty... even though it was only on customer request).

I bought one like that and took it to a plating shop that removed the chrome.

I think you can also have it refinish with OEM finish right over the Chrome instead of removing it. Not sure how the weight ratio will be.

The chrome would need to be removed to be done properly.
