Help for Towhook project

Need your help, can you please share with me your tow hook assembly and reinforcements to the front structure?
I would like to place it on top of the upper bumper slot (photo)
what are your experiences, do’s and dont’s?
thank you

The hook you pictured on the RSR is different than the one you have.

You need something like this.

I made my own out of some heavy bar stock. I threaded both sides first and then bent the bar around an old timing gear. I used heavier and longer angle for the back bar mount. I then had to cut some of the grill to slide it over the hook when mounting the bumper. It works great but hope I never need to really use it.

I painted mine black but I am considering powder coating it red.

I just realized you have a 93 928GTS in amazon as well. LOL small world.

Thanks Anthony, i will order a new one and follow your advice, a tubular one seems better than the flat one i got earlier.

Amazing off topic coincidence! I had not paid attention! The gts is an amazing car

Wasn't that part (front end plate) of the chassis reinforced on the RS, Cup and RSR models. Not sure why they would sell it for a regular 964?

You can buy the reinforcement plate from Porsche - mine was bonded in. I will probably remove mine when I fit the new bumper though.

Yes, that is why I added heavier and longer angle across the front to spread the load. You never know if these will survive their intended need and hope to never find out.

I have to admit the ROW placement of the reflectors and bumperette delete is a nice touch over the US cars. Is yours a M or auto? Could be twins.

Excuse the backdrop that is Mark Donahue's grave my In-laws are neighbors. No correct way to say that.

My car is a manual , had to look for a long time, not that many around, and interesting enough some people in europe prefer the exotic look of the us version, you always like what is out of the ordinary...
Interesting backdrop, i guess a lot of porsches get immortalized that way lol

I happened to be visiting my in-laws grave site. They are buried a few plots behind. Was odd picture but the lighting was great.
