92 964 Brake Pad Damper, Correct sizes???
I'm trying to identify the correct sizes for the front and rear calipers. I see there are 36mm and 40mm sizes for the front. For the rears, since I have the 2 pot calipers, am I correct that those use the 23mm size dampers, part # 964.352.963.01? I need 4 of these? For the front, do they use 2 different size dampers? I saw a thread that mentioned you need:
your fronts would be per caliper
x2 964.351.096.01 (36mm)
x2 964.351.096.02 (40mm)
Is this correct? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am assuming you are looking for the damping plates that adhere to the pad and are inserted into the piston to prevent brake squeal? I personally don't use them and have no issues. It makes changing pads much easier and no longer requires removal of caliper. If you want to use them the part numbers you posted for the front are correct. The rears on a 92 are 4 pot calipers not 2 and would use 964.352.096.00 for the 30mm and 964.352.096.01 for the 28mm piston. If for some reason someone switched your rears to two pot 44mm pistons you would need part number the vibration dampener 964.352.963.01 and damper for 28mm 964.352.096.01
