No. The part numbers are different front and rear. Do you have PET? The front part numbers are on page 401-10 and the rear are on 501-05.

Aside from some close to urban myths going around, only the inner CV joints are available. The fronts are so expensive you might as well buy a complete new driveshaft. I did that. The rear inner is the same as the Boxster and quite reasonably priced.

availability of CV joints in germany was so bad, i decided to do an overhaul of my existing driveshafts (rear) and bought a spare pair for the front for the case, i ever need replacement there.

For a tracked car with low ride-heigh, i recommend to use a proper grease for the cv joints... Std. grease overcocked at the first trackday and the cv boot bursted.... With a proper grease from castrol (also avail for BWM with a BMW branding for the 5-series) is that problem gone

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah I think I’m going to just rebuild the CVs. Much cheaper for sure.

Wise choice. It's far easier if you take the axle out of the car to do this and don't over grease the joints.

Wish there were options like this available. And that they were priced slightly less than an appendage. Neat though-

Back to reality, has anybody had a complete axle, inner and outer, rebuilt? I have a spare pair of fronts that I’d like to send off.

I believe Robert Linton has those (metalore CV joints) on his 964.

I think Vertex or ECS Tuning offered that service a year or two ago.
