Default Replacing 8-way Seat with 4-way Question

Greetings,

I have a '94 964 that came with full power 8-way seats (non-sport version). I'm trying to replace them with a pair of Porsche 964 Sport Seats and have found some but they are only 4-way. My question is can I 'plug and play' with my existing wiring? Will the 4-way functions work?

Thank you in advance!

Tom

I've replaced 8 way with 4 way (non sport), it's plug-n-play.

Thanks!

Are all 964s wired so that the reverse (i.e. going from 4 way to 8 way) is plug and play as well? (Sorry if the wiring diagram makes the answer obvious, but I'm not very good at reading them...)

Ive swapped 4/8/12 ways between 993s and 964s a few times and never run into any issues going in any direction. Specifically, 8 to 4 in my 964 and 8 to 12 in the 993. All plug and play.

+1 - I installed 12 way in my cab, replacing 8 way. It was plug and play. The only catch was I had to install a fuse in the fusebox for the heated seats to work.
