Never mind. False alarm.
Car off: turn on lights defrost lights up pull out it goes out.
Car on: turn on lights defrost lights, pull out it lights brighter with lights off pull and it turns on.
I tgjnk when when i was messing with this car was off.
I checked voltage drop when you pull defrost and it seems to be working.
Notnsure why why i care other than ocd.

Glad you figured it out. My short was messing with the brake light, and the brake light would sporadically stop functioning. The short was the contact through the rear screen - common.

which reminds me... I need to adjust my brake pedal height or brake switch height to give a bit more distance on the brake input. It's right at the top of the pedal and the vibration from all the semi-solid mounts and lump idle the brakes can flash a tick at idle lol. from vibration of the pedal with the switch.
