Rennsport 1st time What do I need to see?
So just made a impulse decision to head north to Rennsport with wife this morning.. Leaving Friday morning @ 6:00am coming home Sunday morning about same time. Local Porsche guy had to cancel last minute so took over his reservations and tickets. Worked out perfect. Staying at a bed & breakfast in downtown Carmel. So looking for some help......Is there anything I need to make sure I check out while I'm there? .....that are Porsche Specific. Is everything that is going on focused (located) at the Laguna Seca? My plan is get there by 12:00(Friday) check-in, head over to the track around 2:00pm, walk the grounds, watch a little bit of racing, vendor booths, etc, head over to FD Motorsports meet & greet, repeat the next morning at 8:00am, leave track by 4:00 pm. Find a local pub to watch the Penn State v. Ohio State game. (I'm originally from east coast / State College.) I'm sure I won't come close to seeing everything at the track, just thought if any of you have any inside knowledge of must do's or see's while there.
Also the tickets I received(coral parking) is for a 997 which I just sold my (997) but was thinking of driving my 964 or Cayenne up there. Anybody have any experience from previous years swapping out cars and the chance of getting in the coral versus getting pushed out to overflow which I understand is a dirt lot. Not sure I want to drive the 964 in the dirt lot as it sits low unless its not that big of a deal and the dirt lot is fine.
Any feedback, help, suggestions would be great. Also if anyone wants to meet up too let us know. Thanks Joe

I'll be happily parking my spyder in the dirt lot. Most of the lots suck and are far. look at the overhead maps.

Five of us just landed from New Zealand. Driving to Pacific Grove and two 914-6s and a White RS America gunned it in the tunnel close to our accommodation. A good start to a long four days

Insane. It’s the only place I’ve experienced where I literally walked by a CGT and didn’t even notice it because my eyes were glued to some other Porsche eye candy. It’s like an amusement park for Porsche lovers .

It was insane. Too much to see, however three more days to take it in. One of our group spoke to the 919 driver. They didn’t get the required fuel so tomorrow is the first run. 9h:25. We hope to see it at the corkscrew.

I've got a favour to ask for anyone that's there. Would you be able to buy me a t-shirt? I'll happily pay for the shirt and shipping. I had to sell my tickets due to a new addition to the family...
If someone could take photos of the selection that would be even better! PM if you're willing to help out!

Wish I could have made it as planned.
And to think that Porsche almost went out of business during the 964 era ... ponder that!
What a huge loss that would have been!
My consolation trip to Lake Geneva ...
