Fuse #34 Popping
Buddies car.
Ran great all day.
Afternoon, fuse 34 pops, car stalls
Replace, car starts and idles fine, pops again after a min or so
I looked at wiring diagrams, looks like Fuse #34 is powered via the DME relay, and feeds the fuel pump and also powers the o2 sensor. I don't see anything else in the circuit.
A quick search here on RL indicated same.
Is this logical, or should we be hunting elsewhere:
--fuel pump failing and pulling high amps
--o2 sensor failed/shorting
--short in wiring between fuse and O2 sensor
--short in wiring between fuse and fuel pump
Anything else?? (already tired 2 new DME relays, same deal)
Thanks

It's certainly easy enough to disconnect the O2 sensor and see if that resolves the problem - all you will do lose fuel economy as without the O2 sensor the car is run in open loop mode (same as WOT).
Reach down along the left (US driver) side of the engine bay and unclip the O2 sensor connector from the inner fender and unplug it - it's a round friction fit 4 pin connector and you can just pull it apart.
If you can't reach it, you might need to remove the heater tube and blower motor.
Here's a photo of where it is (top arrow):

Confirmed: replaced o2 sensor, car is running normal again.
