Phone Mount Concensus
Hi All,
What is currently considered to be the best solution to mount a phone in the 964 / 993?
Is this still the best option:

At some point I read that someone was 3D printing some mounts for various locations in the interior. Did this project ever go anywhere?
Many Thanks,
MaKS

I have a Rennline mount in my coupe. It works but I wish it held the phone a bit higher. I have accidentally knocked the phone off the mount more than I'd like. If it was another 1-2" higher, then I think it would be ideal.

So when you fit it, then you cannot decide on the angle of fit (at which o'clock the arm is)?
I was wondering about whether it gets in the way of the heating controls.
I also considered buying one to see if it could be fitted on the left side of the steering wheel, next to the door.

I ditched the magnetic feature because it would rotate and sometimes fall off when hit or driven too hard. Spring mounted clamp that works great with my Samsung S9 Plus.

The Rennline mount, clamps to the clock. To install, you remove the clock, slide the mount on it and then reinstall the clock. See installation video

I did the same as Ed but I used this iOttie spring mount. I like how it auto snaps when you press your phone in and also has tabs for one handed attachment and release

Thanks for all your replies.
The SP Gadgets one seems a bit expensive for what it is, no?
@eddie and tct,
How does the clamp you use attach to the Rennline mount?
Must admit I quite like the look of the iOttie.
Ideally, I would like a solution that somehow makes use of the redundant ashtray in my car (older style dash).
