Balance with braking is critical. Safety item.
If you do fronts, to rears
Remove or empty the proportion valve
Ideally paired with a larger master cylinder.

I have the setup Bill refers to, with the BMW pipes, worked perfectly! Bill I still need to measure the pistons on this setup... I never did (my brembos). I can say braking performance is insane and of course no fade.

My apologies if I'm hijacking but looking for a simple explanation of options over stock 964 brakes? I've searched and not clear on what is what? If anyone has knowledge of a link or two on here to help guide me what the options are it would be great.

Looking for the 2 or 3 best options for upgrading my stock brakes. 30% of my driving is done in the canyons 10% will be on the track and the balance is on the streets. Is there a very good upgrade with just calipers and rotors or do I also need think about the booster also.

I’m wondering if it would be possible to find a place that could re-sleeve the master cylinder to the 25 mm size.....

Enlarging the diameter would be simple enough right? Finding a piston to fit on the other hand... Maybe time to talk to some friends with CNC's.

I guess the other question would be if the vacuum system is up to the task.

Copy the diameter of the RS piston and find some seals and that would do it right? Cheaper than buying a new 933 booster and with the full rs diameter to boot.

Bill,

Once upgrading to 993 fronts, is it feasible to use standard 964 fronts on the rear?

How would that work balance wise?

I believe I have read elsewhere that moving the 964 fronts the rear creates too much rear bias. Bill will hopefully chime in to confirm.
