Left climate blower-Help!!
Hello
My left blower seems to have given up. Mechanic says that he has to disconect and empty th AC and it is a complicated job to change the left fan. Can anybody help me with info. I have a feeling that there should be an easier way to exchange it without dismantling the whole left side of the car?
Thanks in advace!

Burgass,
I have written an atricle about it on the forum (and someone else also) about how to replace that blower. It's not so difficult but a bit of work .....
Search for Blower Replacement or something the like and it should pop-up
Your A/C doesnt need 'to be refilled for this at all ...
Good luck. You could also mail me offline if you need info.

Hi
I just went through the blower motor ordeal. The blower motors can be replaced without removing the AC box; however some mechanics prefer to replace them with the box out because( so I am told) the housings become brittle with age and can crack if you replace the motors with the AC box in place. If you scroll back a couple of pages you will find a thread about "replacing blower motors" I wrote down the steps I used to rplace mine at home in my Garage. Good Luck Harpreet.
