Default Jaguar Zero and would Porsche offer this service?

Jaguar Zero

From the big wedding to lots of cool press about offering an electric version of the 'most beautiful car' in the world. This is cool news.
Most likely this is just a PR effort to bring attention to Jaguars efforts to bring their first all electric car to market. But it has me thinking.
There are a lot of people who have old classic cars, like us, who may want to also have an electric version of it. Like me.
People who do not want to give up the old car for the new tech. Just like me.

So, I wonder if Porsche would ever offer this kind of service through Porsche Classic

Would any of you take Porsche up on the offer to build an electric drive train that was completely reversible? To have your car and E it too?

I for one would!

No, unless they stop producing gasoline. The engine is a part of the magic IMHO

I'm here at car week and was fortunate enough to ride in their prototype. It was a surreal experience to say the least. The rep told me that many buyers will be those who have an original already; this would serve to compliment. Interior can be either modern or original, it's up to the buyer to spec. They will offer a conversion program too. They are maintaining the weight and balance to preserve the handling characteristics. Did I say this thing has some torque?

Looks like the British finally figured out a way to stop their cars leaking oil ....

I assume people in the UK want it to drive into London and other cities with regs and taxes which make it hard to drive old vehicles. I assume the range will be weak compared to modern electric cars, but I hope the coorelary is that the weight stays close to the original.

If the choice is between drive an electric 964 or no 964, I would happily have this done.

I think the world will move into a direction where gas powered vehicles are so very limited in many ways, that it will make sense to go in this electric direction.

I will miss some things about it... and perhaps they will be made up for.

I guess I'm saying I have an open mind... and need to remember my kids still need to live on this planet, long after I'm gone.

There's a lot I would do for my kids...

Probably not a popular viewpoint in this company
