We still track ours although mine is going through some upgrades so we drive the boxster GTS until the work is done.

Slightly modified currently getting electric steering pump, revised ABS and Haltech tune.

It doesn't seem that long ago when these were the car of choice now I am one of the few still tracking one I know of.

Yepp, I've been following them and I know the cars by heart. Been considering to enter, however need to get the car in line with regulations.

What lap times are you getting at Spa and Zolder?

I'm running 18" ATS DTM with ATS special adapters to bring them right to the edge of the rolled fenders. This set was specially produced by ATS based on the MB DTM wheel, light and strong.
Wheels front 8 J x 18 ET 65 / Back 9,5 J x 18 ET 73 with adapters ET40 front and ET 48 back
Using Toyo R888R at the moment.

I can't see any real things on your car that would cause any problems. I know the YTCC is a little less strict nowadays in their rules.
Which are the things that worry you ?

Yes, I usually only see one, maybe two, at the events I run at out of 130-150 cars. Now, there will be one more as I just bought one specifically to replace my track M3.

First event is in two weeks. I can’t wait.

Running about 1m53 in Zolder and 3m01 in Spa on Toyo R888R's. I feel that with the LSD it should be a little bit faster but also like to keep some safety margin... :-)

These cars are too much fun to not drive at pace. And they just aren’t that expensive compared to the new stuff. (RS, cup, etc excluded).
More than fast enough and challenging enough to teach you to be a great driver.
Csnt wait to get mine back out there.

Any socal 964 interested in a track day?? When weather cools a bit.

Btw, with my 997rs I’m often the only one out of 100 Porsche’s. People have boxed them up and stuffed into a corner of their garage.

I'm down for a track day with other aircooled pcars. Not so fun on the track with much faster cars like R8s and GTRs.

Nice thread! Especially these days, it's getting rare to see them out on track.

My pic quality is poor compared to what you guys have posted earlier (beautiful pictures BTW) but it is on a special track so I thought I share it anyway:

LeMans's Bugatti circuit in october 2017 with the Porsche club FR. I drove 500 miles from Switzerland (meeting half way with friends in their 3.2's WTLs) to Le Mans on friday evening after work, slept a few hours, drove 100 miles on the track until the brakes started cooking, and drove 500 miles back the day after. It's a wonderful car, too bad I couldn't use it too much this year.

Wow that's already quick! Last outing at Zolder after 27 years ( noise limit) I did 1m56, at Spa 2m58 ( with a virtual best of 2m55) on Toyo R888R. Let the LSD hook up at apex and drive the car with your right foot ;-)

Was thinking the same. May be we need to share possible dates for SPA / NOS. Any preferred organizers for NOS?

Welcome to the club !
I salute you for doing sub 3m at Spa! That's really a 'big *****' track! I had a big moment last week in Blanchimont getting the car over the curb and onto the astro turf. Sideways at 230KPH... Took it a bit easier the next time round... We should meet up. There are the 'Perolhead Thursdays' in zolder with no noise limit. Recommended!

Please tell me about your thoughts on your ride height ? It seems to be a lot higher than the RSR set up
