964 Turbo Speedlines on a 964 C2 or 3.2 Carrera?
Hey all.
I am trying to figure out if a set of 8" & 10"x18" 964 Turbo (aka 965) rims would fit on a 964 C2 or an 88 3.2 Carrera.
I have them for sale half-way down the page HERE, but I am thinking of putting them, after refinishing, on one of my daily drivers.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

I have the same wheels on my 90 C2 cab. I run 225/40s and 265/35s. The fenders are rolled and an oil line may have been moved, at least that was discussed in emails by the original owner of my car.

No rubbing. I have Ruf suspension which is lower and perhaps stiffer though. Watch which tires you use though. I have Pilot Sports now which are bigger the Summitomas on it when I got it.

Bob,
I don't know the offsets for a 3.2 (they're different) but for a NB 964, 50-55mm is a safe range. 225's up front are about as wide as you can go without inducing excessive rub and 265's should work for the rears. I know racers who use 275 rear Hoosiers and short 245's up front (40 vs 45 aspect ratios) on 17" rims but as Doug mentioned, stiff springs, camber and tire width all go into the equation.
Also, the 92-on 964's have a different steering stop which decreases the turning range vs the earlier cars. These were installed to accommodate wider, 17 inch wheels which became a Factory option on those cars. If you have a pre-92 car, you may experience considerable rub unless you replace the stops.
BTW, the Speedlines are a COOL look for the 964 and look a little out of place on the earlier cars. Just my $0.02. Good luck.

Tire rack screwed up and sent 245/40s at first and my show put them on not paying attention to the sizes. He went out for a test drive and hit abump and they rubbed big time.
I can check on my spacer sizes if someone needs to know. It is somewhere in my mounds of records for this car.

Guys, thanks for all your input.
After reading the posts and thinking more about it, I am just going to sell-off the Speedline wheels. See, I was going to keep what I have for a while, waiting to put a deposit on a 997, but instead I think I will just look for a nice 993 S and save some dough. I was thinking of a 964 3.6 Turbo, but I think the 993 is the right choice for a daily driver.
If you know anyone that may want the wheels, please let them know. Thanks again.
