lol, I knew it. A decent low profile jack cost more than that

+1 on Bendpak mid rise scissor lift. Best tool in the garage ever purchased. I recessed mine into the floor of my garage and park on it everyday.

+2, I thought about getting the QuickJack but I'm glad I went with the MD-6XP instead. Do you have pics of your setup? Thinking of doing the same so I don't have to use ramps any longer.

I've had this since 2012 and have been very pleased with it.

I have the same type of lift (I think they are a generic design)

BTW that linked page has a very good narrative on lifting power versus rated capacity. I use my lift on my 964 and Boxster. I wouldn't even think about it with the Cayenne.

Posted earlier in this thread, and after reading some of the feedback here, I purchased a QuickJack BL-5000SLX during the most recent Costco online sale ($999). Very happy with it so far...as several posters recommended, I slide the lift as far as I can back against the rear tires, and I have no problem with clearances as the lift goes up (stock US ride height). I currently have a low ceiling "multi-purpose" garage so it is the perfect solution for me at the moment (until I build a much higher ceiling garage in a few years, with an in-floor scissor lift....)

Anyway, I just saw that Costco now has an in-store sale on the QuickJacks for $899:

For those with a quickjack what pads are you using? i set up my quickjack yesterday and when i jack my 964 the blocks are putting some pressure on the plastic side skirts. This is what happened first time i used it, despite me trying to be very careful with where i positioned the rubber block.

I'm wondering if i need to use jackpads rather than the rubber blocks. What are other people doing?

I ran into the same issue. Use the blocks and hockey pucks on top. Or you could try these:

I use the aluminum jack pads which go in between the Quickjack rubber block and the slotted jacking point on the car
