Many folks have said that now they will have some REAL competition with Sooner that folks saw at Rennsport. More affordable and ALL original Porsche parts, no fabrication.
The people buying Singers have the money to put them out of business. I assume they are in constant contact with their clients and stroking their egos.

I have never seen you contribute anything positive to this forum other than smartass comments towards other members. Enjoy your ban and hopefully you don't come back.

You would be wrong. All they have are a bunch of excuses and push back delivery dates. Let there be no mistake, Singer has the ego and you will take delivery when they say and you will like it.

Backdating 240s to appear as 140s? I like it!

If that is true it's not going to end well for them if/when the economy takes a major downturn.

Well it is true for at least one Singer customer I know first hand. Hearing his stories, no joke about your comments above and sadly MANY have paid in full and have nothing to show but a junkyard "donor" sitting and waiting for a build.

Doubtful. Singer is not a car manufacturer. They are not even a licensed kit car manufacturer. The capital needed to actually make VINned chassises is enormous. Making them is the easy part - certifying them to be legally sold, and registering the company as a manufacturer, is another story.

Ruf, on the other hand, has been a certified automobile manufacturer since 1981.

Buying all that consultation from Williams, BBS, Brembo, Michelin, etc. cost a lot but as I understand it, it wasn't their dime.

Maybe two years ago the order book was ~45 deep? I have yet to hear of anyone that has bought since then that wasn't informed of the lead time on new builds? It sucks but buyers knew what they were getting themselves into.

I thought Multimatic in Canada did the CF chassis development work for Ruf?

They should be sitting on a boatload of cash if people are putting down sizable deposits. Should being the operative word. The opposite would be another situation entirely.

A bunch of wealthy people's cash that can easily bleed them dry in court if they start playing games and not returning phone calls etc...

They are VERY deep and missing deadlines by years not weeks. It is a mess and when you hear stories it sure sounds like almost a Ponzi scheme robbing Peter to pay Paul. Trust me buyers didn't know.

In general and in its original form, 2600 lbs with 400 hp in a small car like a 964 sounds pretty ideal to me.
390hp and 2660 is a nice power to weight. Similar to my track car but the new engine will be far more adjustable and powerful. What you can do with todays engine management is nothing less than amazing.

Although I will need to ditch the H&R supercup suspension and do a fully adjustable MCS but one project at a time.

I don't understand why they don't seem weld all the tubs? They have the stripped tubs I would think it would be the first thing they do.
