H5 to H4 Conversion
I know this has been posted a ton. I'm just wondering if there is any updated information since most of the posts I'm finding about it are from 2010 and prior.
Questions I have:
What are the options for actual hardware? Best vs worst?
Ease of install? Seems fairly straight forward, any major tips that could save time?
Any other comments or recommendations?
Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by hardware? The headlights generally come with the sets of two required screws, and if not, stick with Porsche OEM.
Install is easy, especially if you buy the conversion harness from pelican. Maybe an hour tops.
Buy the trim rings and get them painted to match, or if you like chrome, get those. The H4's don't look right without the trim in my opinion.

In May of last year I did the H4 update, in addition to the chrome H4 Hella set, here are the parts I used. It worked out super easy. I pulled these from my Pelican Parts order. I agree with onceover, that the H4 look much better running the body color Trim rings.
- 1 - Hi-Temp Silicone H5 to H4 Headlight Plug Adapter Harness Part #: PEL-H5H4-CPL
- 2 - H1 or H4 Primered Trim Ring Cover (sold per each, 2 req. per car) - Part #: 911-631-141-00-M260
- 2 - Headlight Screw, Outer, 911 (1968-86), for H4/H1 Trim Rings - Part #: 911-631-132-00-M260
- 2 - Headlight Screw, Inner, 911 (1968-86), for H4/H1 Trim Rings - Part #: 911-631-033-00-M260
