Default Confirm an AC issue: compressor clutch

I recently took ownership of a '91 C4 3 days ago. Still learning what I need to know about this car but its been fun. Today I ran into an issue as I was pulling into work.

I noticed that there was water leaking from under the dash and my research points to AC drain being clogged up which I can hopefully take care over the weekend. I also noticed while idling with the AC on, the RPM jump slightly from 900-1000 with some clicking coming from the rear. I noticed that the AC compressor clutch was clicking on and off. I researched a bit and found out that this is a normal finding however Im hoping you guys can confirm that the frequency the clutch is stopping and starting is normal. Would a clogged AC drain play a role at all?

Have you checked the refrigerant level? Usually they cycle when the level is low.

Yes, I believe that is cycling way too much. Mine when charged (I have a very small leak) runs for a lot longer.

Seller had recharged the vehicle prior to taking delivery regardless I will recheck refrigerant level and check for leaks.

Also check that it's not overcharged. The 964 AC system runs at pretty low pressures. It's easy to overcharge using an over the counter kit.
