Frunk front “covering” differences
I’m looking to do a simple half carpet (like a rs but with half sides.) My 1990 has this covering which due to its curved shape is hard to meet up with a flat sheet of plywood.
The covering in other pics I’ve found ilooks straight across like this one from apanossi’s well documented thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/diy-subm...arpet-diy.html
.
Are these 2 interchangeable? I think it’s numbers 10 and 16 in the parts diagram.
Ill
I’ll be looking for one if it will fit so if anyone has one laying around let me know.
Pete

There wee many changes made over the years and one of them is the tub and plastic parts in the front. I don't believe they are interchangeable the later style 16 uses metal tabs welded to tub on either side not supplied on the earlier tubs to hold it in place along with the turn screws which lock it down. IIRC the earlier cars snapped into place.

I think you’re right about the early model just snapping into place. I suppose I could strategically add a couple of rivnuts to hold the later type on but it sounds like a gamble unless I can find one on the cheap.

Just adding to Cobalt.... the C2s don't have the high pressure brake pump in that location, so it's not unlikely that it was a flat piece of covering there.
