Hinged vent window?
Does anyone know of a hinged door vent window upgrade or mod for a 964? The only downside to my sunrooof delete is the inability to vent the cabin with the window down. Would be awesome to swing out that little triangle window!

A buddy of mine replaced his with lexan and used a hole saw to cut and then mount a little flip out vent in it. But his car is pretty track oriented. Might not be what you’re going for.

The front hinged vents can be installed- you replace the entire window surrounds. But it doesn't come without work to make it look right for a 964. Rear pop-outs were a treat to have the opportunity to install. The owner of that car wants to do the fronts as well...but one project at a time. If we ever get there, I'll post a diy...
Thanks for the call-out dave- but truth be known, those pop outs wouldn't have gotten done nearly as well without your help. There was zero real information available on how to make that work or to do it right.

Agree with sentiments above, very cool and wish I had them in mine!
Is it as simple as gathering the parts from an earlier 911 and installing or were modifications required to make it fit and work in a 964?

If anyone needs to work through the pop-out window conversion, happy to help. There are definitely pitfalls to watch out for and it's not a project for the weak...
Darren was a brave soul for letting me/us have at it with his car as a guinea pig

I was thinking of going down the front quarter light pop out window backdate route as I have no AC, but I've had a change of heart...
I've already purchased a nice set of early chrome coupe door frames that I planned to have powder coated, but they're in to nice a condition to bastardise!
So may just sell them on, as I'm now thinking of going with plexi and some sort of vent, something similar to this.
