Default Has anyone swapped a 94 c4 widebody to NB trailing arms??

Just curious if anyone has done this conversion. Being there are so few 94 c4 widebodies, not sure if anyone has converted one of them to narrow body rear trailing arms. Wondering how it would differ from a 965 turbo? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Basically, looking for a parts list if anyone has one available. Thanks!

Mr. Wolfe,

965 Turbo's have the same (wide) trailing arms as the factory wide-body, Turbo-look cars do so the conversion process is identical.

IMHO, the only reason to do this is to be able to install the RS rear adjustable swaybar and some wider wheels/tires.

964 RSR cars used the narrow-body trailing arms for this reason.

I believe Frank (Black Betty) has done this a couple times.

That is my understanding as well. Thank you.

I have been doing some searching without much luck. Does anyone have a link to a thread covering the swap? Thanks!

You can also search user Miles965uk in the 964 Turbo forum - he did this on a 964 Turbo many years ago - I think one of his posts lists the parts required.

That’s how my car basically ended up. But my car started as a narrow body and was converted to a wide body by the PO. So it’s a widebody with narrowbody suspension. I’m running 17x8.5 ET49 fronts and 17x11 et17 rears. It’s on a lift now with the engine out for a 4.0L build and I’m currently refreshing the suspension bits. If you need pics, I’m heading to the shop midweek. I can take pics if you need anything in particular.

The pic in my avatar is the “before” pic. :-)

Thanks guys. I looked into those threads and it helped incredibly. It seems I may only need NB axles and rear trailing arms to do the swap. Seems to easy - I may be missing something. I will go back through the older threads.

Not at the moment, but I appreciate the offer! Your car looks fantastic.
