Default Pads

Yellows are great pads to run, but I mix pad combinations running yellow or orange up front with blacks in the rear. I find this mix to work best for me as I don’t run a bias valve.

It wasn't long ago these parts were relatively cheap I have done several cars with 964T 3.6 and or 928GTS big blacks and spent less than $3k to do the entire car with all new parts. Even today the GTS blks are around $800 each and rotors another couple of hundred. When I returned my C2 from track duty to street I refinished the stock calipers but decided it looked wrong so I went with big blacks for a less aggressive look. This was 5 years ago and I spent $700 for the pair of GTS brakes new at the time.

Turbo brakes are adequate. I like to run yellows although the Ferodo DS1-11 last equally as long and have better bite than the yellows.

It is unfortunate but true you will need to modify the trailing arms as well along with a custom hat and rotor.

the brembo kits (either 964 or 993) are designed to work with the factory M/C for the generation they are designed for.
For the pre 92 cars, they recommend changing the bias valve (I removed mine) to the later bias valve. For 92 and later cars it works with the OEM bias valve
Recall, I have 993 brakes, so I changed to the larger bore 993 M/C / booster.

My setup:
Brembo 993 6 piston 355mm fronts (slotted)
Brembo 993 4 piston 320mm rears (slotted)
993 master
993 booster
no bias valve
factory abs (functional)

with 235/265 RCOMP tires the car will put your eyeballs outta your head when you stand on the brakes. it's actually easy to over-slow on track stops so damn good.
Surely these are not 993 parts. The 993TT used the same calipers up front as the 964 turbo 3.6 and 928GTS with feeds and bleeds switched. I have the electro hydraulic pump with the 993TT fronts and 993RS rears. With 400BHP the brakes were far more than I need and I have to use my brakes less it is too easy to over slow the car.

I'm not sure what you are stating. I never said these were 993 parts. They are 993 fit Brembo brakes to work on the 993 that I put on my 964. Modern caliper design, aluminum hat, full floating rotor, 6 piston front, 4 piston rear, parking brake works, huge pad selection F/R, with 993 C2 master, booster, bracket.

All these pad recommendations, are you guys running the same pad street and track? Or are the suggestions for one or the other?

I run a Race Technologies TS20 for street, it can be used on track too, but doesn't have the bite I like. I use Race Technologies RE10 for track.
