Just to tie up a loose end, I backed the set screw on my ISV most of the way out and the valve gap closed at the top and reopened on the bottom, just like John's video in post #35. So the discrepancy between my ISV and John's was just due to set screw adjustment. I still dont understand the logic behind having a discontinuity in the range of duty cycle that goes from decreasing idle from set point, to closed, to increasing idle.

Hello John,

I am reading the topic about the ISV valve with great intrest, great post !
I've read that you order an ISV at Aliexpres. Did you already install it on your 964 ??
Question : does it perform well ? I am very curious about your experience with this ISV.
It sure looks like the original one from Bosch !

Thansk in advance for your answer.

Kind regards,

Dick964

Hi Dick, I bought mine after a fellow New Zealand 964 owner bought and installed one. His works fine. I haven't installed mine yet as my existing one is still working. For the moment it's a back up.
