I like the Porsche sticker on the door, that looks really good. Do the wheels have spacers on them, hard to tell from the picture.

No idea if that car has spacers. Will have to check next time. Sits very purposefully!

Celebrated Porsche's 70th at two local dealerships, and stopped along the way to snap a couple random pics.
The blue of the 60th is just stunning in all light conditions.

two questions...

scratches on drivers front fender? (or is that just relfected light)
funny nipple on the rear wiper delete... or is that a fancy antenna contraption you invented? LOL

That color photographs beautifully! Gorgeous car! And perfect backdrops, as well.

Just reflected light. (I hope... will double check when I get home)
After removing the wiper, didn't want to leave the long threaded nut exposed, so found a random plastic hose faucet adapter that covers it perfectly. It looks like an '90s car phone antenna.
Temporary until I remove the wiper linkage below the rear deck and get a delete plug.

I think I bought a plug from home depot to fill the wiper hole, I think it cost all of 50 cents or something like that. You just need to re-use the rubber gasket in the glass.

Jimony,
That's what I should probably do... Was thinking of something funkier, but can't make up my mind as there are too many choices!

Randomly met this guy while out driving some back roads. We stopped chat a bit and of course take a couple pics. He rebuilt the whole car himself. Stunning color!

How do you like the Contis on your Cobalt? I have Sumis on but fancy a change next time. Had Contis on my E55 and found them terrific, but they only lasted 9,000 miles (?!)

BTW that is Magnus Walker driving my car; he had never driven a 964 and asked for a few laps. He had taken my daughter out in his racecar all morning, I was only too happy to oblige.

The 914's are fun project cars. Easy as can be to restore. I did three and there is a third in process that I supplied most of the parts for in orange. Total go carts.

I recently installed Michelin PS4's on my Boxster GTS. I have owned the Conti DW and DWS's, along with the MPS2's and MPSS on different cars. IMO the PS4 is 4 times better than the PS2's and although the DW's are a great bang for the buck don't come close. I don't mind the 300 tread wear since I always age out my tires. Side effect of owning too many cars.

I also had Contis on my Slate car, so was happy when this car came with fresh tires. I've also previously had Sumis IIIs on the Slate car and really liked the way it drove. Both tires are quiet, have great grip and work well in the rain. The Sumis seemed to have worn faster, but it's probably only a slight mileage difference. Over the years I've done less and less track time in the 964, so I'm less focused on ultimate grip. I'd follow whatever Cobalt or Spyerx says!

Cool that you were responsible to breaking Magnus' 964 cherry. What does he often say, "I'm down with OPP."

BTW, I recently caught another glimpse of your 993 door handles (post #70) and just love they way they look, and how the color matches the side mirrors.

Because I love pictures, and the color looks different to me in every one... (Super bright, midday sun, still trying to figure out this color!)

I think if you have flags then the black handles are great but with aeros, the 993 handles look better than stock, and I am mostly a stock type of guy. If done right, you can keep the same key and the change over is simple APART FROM ONE WASHER THAT CAN AND WILL SLIP BETWEEN THE DOOR CARD. Now how would I know that?
As for the color, this is the most endlessly fascinating color I have ever owned and one that can pull a crowd, even at the Porsche dealer where typically, people want to know why it isn't red, white, black or silver; "those where the only colors right"? After a polish, at twilight, it has a purple hue, at noon it is just in your face blue. I look back every time I park it and it is never the same twice.
I am so looking forward to your superior photos, mine are all iPhone and daylight here in LA is inevitably full sun; you will have some better contrast, and settings, I am sure. Keep them coming.

For me it looks perfect.
