Yes. They can do great work and are not cheap. Focused primarily on 356 and early 911 models.

thanks...have a call into them. I don’t care if it is expensive as long as they do a good job and don’t take forever to get it done.

Is this work for a 964?, is this full glass out same color or?, any metal work?

You could call Henry Schmidt at Supertec Performance in Fallbrook to pick his brain. He's a reputable engine builder and probably knows these guys. I think mainly hangs out on the Pelican forums.

I had Really bad paint experience when I went to have my slate grey repainted to slate grey non metallic 615. Took 9 months and came back with uneven finish..paint missing in areas. Let’s say with lawyers the money was refunded but not the loss in use and a lousy job. I had the entire car clear wrapped and it actually looks very good but it still bothers me...ocd. Doesn’t need any body work..just want the wrap removed and a complete respray. Engine and frunk are fine. The car is set up perfectly and I don’t want to touch the suspension or engine.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...725e209b6.jpeg

Talked with CPR today. Exterior respray, glass out..no fronk or engine compartment .....wait time in q: 6 months and $45k. They say they have 40k sq ft and 50 cars ahead of me.

$45K for a paint job, yikes!

It’s been a while since I researched paintwork, have prices really gone up that much for quality work?

Wow that seems crazy.... does the car need a lot of body work..... $5,000 in materials,,,, $100 an hour for labor is 400 hours or at $150 an hour that 266 hours....... somebody please tell me this is not a real estimate and that a very nice paint job would cost around $20,000......

il pirata 04-03-2018 12:34 AM

There towards the high end, BUT they are very good at single stage paint work.

They prefer a total redo, so a partial redo will get priced higher, parts in the past where a pass though, it's all about the labour.

OP where are you city wise?

look at the picture..do you see any need for body work....the car is super straight. They sound like they have it dialed in. This is a no color change respray. Motor and suspension stay in. Price does not bother me as much as the wait time...6 months before they can get to it...

mooty 04-03-2018 03:00 AM

i dont kow much about so cal.
but if i charged 45k per car with no metal work, and there are 50 cars ahead of you... i think i will go steal their tech, pay them 2x and start my own shop

Spyerx 04-03-2018 03:28 AM

45k. Are they effing high?
thats a “we have too much work but if this guy will pay it we won’t turn down his cash” price.
In other words. They don’t want the business.
