I've honestly tried to do modifications to this car that weren't reversible. I'm changing the carpet to something like the RS carpets, but I want the ability to put the back seats back in the future. I've searched people's how to threads for carpet install, but no one addresses this. I haven't removed all the carpet around this area yet. Does this part bolt out? Or do I need an angle grinder? Which kind of stinks..
That's similar to what I did. Just built up around it with carpet felt. My photo shows it frest haver the install, before steaming the whole carpet to remove wrinkles.
