How awful.
Get your insurance company involved to push Haggrerty's to step up to the pump.

Wow sorry to hear about your car. I would get your insurance involved ASAP. Their valuation is way off. First I'd ask them to show you a slate gray c2 for sale, and then see what recent sales have been like. I'd imagine you could touch a driver quality car in that combo (coupe/c2/slate gray) for under 50,000.
Long story short, keep pushing them! Hope this all works out

No engine or trans damage. Drove the car home, 20 miles, and kept forgetting that I had just been rear-ended. Sad.
Have contacted my insurance company, and they confirmed agreed value policy but still waiting on more details. The fight has begun!

Totally sucks. Sorry to hear and really feel for you. Your car is stunning and I always admired the photos you posted. So let me get this straight: you do not have Hagerty, but the guy who hit you does. Is that correct? What insurance company do you have and what was the agreed value?
The Hagerty proposed value seems ridiculously low. I have a 1990 C2 with nearly 130k miles and I have it valued at $65k thru Hagerty. What am I missing here? Good luck with your mental and financial recovery.

911Jetta, I'm so sorry to hear about your car. It's always a ****ty situation to get in an accident much less in a car like a 964 that is very difficult to replace.
I owned a Supra TT in the early 2000s during the height of F&F craze and was unfortunately in an accident which caused the car to be totaled. At the time, KBB values were extremely low for a 10 year old Toyota. My insurance at the time (Farmers) only wanted to give me 14k for the car which was no where close to what I paid for the car and the cost it would take me to replace the vehicle. I ended up finding a number of Supras on sale via Autotrader and various other websites that were comparable to the condition of my car prior to the accident. After a bit of negotiation, insurance paid fair market value for the car.

That's hard to believe that's around $30K in damage. When I looped mine out into some shrubs/small trees I bought a bunch of parts off Ebay and gave them to my body shop to install which included a bumper, lights, wheel, etc. Mine looked similar to yours and it was $8,000 to fix which included additional mods and paint repair I had them do since it was already in the shop.

Sorry to read this & I wish you the best.
I would highly recommend a GUARANTEED value insurance policy for everyone reading this. I'm with American Modern and unfortunately had a total loss accident in one of my cars a couple of years ago - they paid my full value based solely on pictures and a conversation with MY indie... No questions asked.

This really sucks, sorry to hear. If you have agreed value, shouldn't they pay out and then go after the other guy's insurance for the money? If that's not how it works, then I'm nervous now. Also, I would buy that car back either way, you obviously love the car and know it inside and out. For $30K you should be able to repair it and then some, it doesn't look that bad. Even if you decide not to fix it, the money you could get parting or selling whole plus your payout should be considerably more than your agreed value. Good luck

I will assume you are working with the other persons insurance. You will need to be very strong with them. Don't settle until you get what you want.
My hot rod 3.8 RS clone was hit and totaled. I sent them receipts for all the work. The donor car and everything that went into it. Total was over $150k. Obtained an Apraisal from a certified auto appraiser and fought like hell.
In the end they wrote me a check for a $100k and gave me the totaled car back.
Make sure they know that you love that car and you will fix it or put it in your living room to look at. Once they know you are not going to roll over they will give you what you want.
Ask for $50k and your car back and see what they say. They will put a very small value on the wrecked car. They just send it to auction.
You can fix your car yourself or part it out and buy a new one. Your car has to be worth $25k as it sits. Looks like a fairly easy fix but not enough info from pics to tell.
I purchased a 993 Cup car with the insurance proceeds and swapped all the parts from the wrecked car into a 75 Carrera. Painted it Tangerine.... wonderful car. The bonus was the 95 Cup for free. Those were the days.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Ugh this makes me sick to my stomach. Maybe I finally will call up for a quote on a stated value. Best of luck with sorting out with the insurance companies, I really hope you get a big *** check to cover it.
