Default 2018 RUF SCR

Hello members! RUF presented in this year's Geneva Autoshow a new car, the SCR! At the heart of the Ruf SCR 2018 is a four-litre, six-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine, which produces 500hp at 8,270 rpm. And perhaps its most impressive detail is the carbon-fibre monocoque chassis at its core, which was developed entirely in-house.

Here is some photos.

A little too much Alcantra in the interior, but other than that, this thing is fantastic. I know that opinions are like a$$holes, but when this is an option, I don't understand the intrigue of a Singer.

Different strokes for different folks but I agree.....I'll take a RUF over a Singer any day...with the exception of the Singer/Williams car...that car is just sick!

Who in their right mind decided all that alcantara was a good idea??? I’m a fan of the material but that is just over the top. I also question the pepita in combination with the Alcantara, that is not a good combo IMHO. The rest of the car is incredible though and I guess it’s just a matter of taste.

I totally agree about the all out Alcantara assault on that interior.
As I write this I'm having my own complete rebuild and the right amount of Alcantara is a tough call ... here's a description of what I'm having done.

* Headliner - 1 piece of Alcantara, including A & B pillars.
* Dash - vinyl with double contrast silver stitching around instruments.
* Top door trim - Alcantara with double contrast stitching.
* Door panels - leather with no stitching although may add some if it seems too plain.
* Lower rear inner panels - leather.
* Top of rear parcel shelf where speakers are - Alcantara.
* Lower portion of rear parcel shelf - leather with no stitching unless too plain.
* Center console trim - Alcantara

Rear interior trim and seats will be removable and RS style sliver knit carpet will reside under the rear quarters and lightweight carpet will be inserted over parcel shelf for lightweight look or in place of lightweight carpet for maximum weight reduction.
Custom cerakoted Heigo roll bar will pair with contrast silver stitched leather / Alcantara insert re-upholstered Pole Positions.

Goal with my build is to reconfigure between a 4 seater and lightweight 2 seater in an afternoon of work if so desired. To that end, I'm having a set of Recaro CS seats and rear seats matched at the same time to the Pole Position re-upholster job.

I suspect this may be sacrilege to some, but after a careful look at both the RUF SCR and the Singer/Williams car (albeit 3d rendering)... I think the Singer is the better looking car. With that being said, the RUF is hands down the best from an engineering/performance point of view. No matter, even if I had the $ (x10)... wouldn't spend that much on any car.

I really don't like this yet love Singers....interesting and glad that people are making such cool cars for all of us.
