Add Rear fog lights to non RoW 964?
Some questions on RoW rear fog lights. I have been digging through the forum but haven't been able to find answers to my questions.
Has anyone added this feature to their US or Canadian 964?
Is the wiring for the switch included in the US wire bundles?
Any modification to the fuse box?
Any additional parts required besides switch and rear lights/center reflector?

I did not find any hookup in the rear for fog lights when I added the Euro center reflector so I made those "fog" lights additional brake lights instead..

Interesting. Not legal here in the UK. Wanted to, but no can do.
I'd be surprised if there isn't some standard wiring in the loom already for this (but tucked out the way). Have you checked the US wiring diagrams for this?

Didnt look at the diagrams and didnt look under dash, once I saw that there was no hook up for the fogs at the tail i just went with brake lights
LM964 I would think that if you got the bulb holders/socket for the dual filament bulbs you could make the fogs additional brake lights and still have the fog function..

Looked at the sticker, didn't have M576 listed but it was originally a California car so we know it doesn't have rear fog lights. (964-640)
I have a center reflector with fog lights on the way, thinking of buying another fog light switch. Thought it would be fun to see if I can make them functional without too much work. When I had my clock and speedometer out I saw some extra plugs back there. Didn't pay much attention to them but I am going to replace the head unit in the future and I will look for any that fit the switch. When you look at the wire diagram it looks the wires might be there. With other manufactures it is common practice to use the same wire bundles and prevision for all options, not sure about Porsche.

I knew that, just happened to find a used RoW reflector, if this doesn't work out I may try that brake light mod.

Finally pulled my old Alpine radio to start the installation of a Continental radio in my cab. With the radio out I had access to the area around the fog light switch and there was a unused plug in the wire bundle. Plugged in another switch for the rear fog lights turned the key on, turned on the front fog lights then the rear fog light switch and everything lights up. Opened up the blank between fog light switch and the lighter and installed the rear switch all done. Hardest part was getting the old radio out.

I-phone pictures, not the best but you get the idea. Drilled a hole in the dash for the switch, switch is illuminated, rear fogs only work if the front fog lights are on.
