Default Realistic current 964 valuations

Having owned my C2, 5 speed coupe for 13 years, am seriously considering selling. I have a 964 3.8 track car and do not drive the street 964 much. Bought the car with 55K miles and all records since new. Currently has 102K and have maintained all records. Has some mods, SS brake lines, Wong chip and changed air box (have originals), PSS-10s. Would rate the car overall as a conservative 7.5 as it is better to under promise and over deliver. I purposely paid the membership fee in case I wanted to post for sale. Based on info provided and the attached picture, what is the realistic range for this car? I am not looking to post a high price and hope someone pays it. Just looking for a realistic price range at this time to help make a decision. My sincere thanks for the information. Based on what i have seen lately I think about $55K range would allow a pretty quick sale and seems reasonable given the mileage.

Put that car on Bring a Trailer and you'll probably get $60k.

Why sell it there? maybe sell it to one of us that will actually use it for a good deal instead of some collector or foreign dealer.

Because of extra $$ to be made...instead of being lowballed by people saying, c'mon man cut me a deal, I am an enthusiast just like you...

We have bought three cars in the past four months for projects, all accident/rust free. Patina in some areas but for our purposes none of that matters.

1. 91 c2 US car with sunroof with 133k miles $44,000 (Canada)
2. 93 c2 US car with sunroof car with 76k for $52,000 (Florida)
3. 92 c2 Japan no sunroof no airbag with 52k km for $85,000 (California)

Hope this helps.

I sold a nice 91 C2 coupe late last year - few less miles but not as desirable of color in high 40's.

I think 50k is about right.. that's a nice color. If it had black interior maybe 5k above that.

Hi guys,

Not to thread-jack but I have a similar question. I've been holding off on pulling the trigger on selling my 964. I want to get the best price but don't want to hit the market with the wrong number.
Please tell me your reactions...

Here is the situation:
91 964 C4
over 200K Miles
Paint shows patina, but is a good 5 foot car
Bilstein HD + HR Greens setup
Every system works, and has been serviced/replaced during my ownership...
  • Cup mirrors
  • Cup 1s (original) on Conti DWS
  • HVAC fully functional + New/restored A/C with new evaporator, compressor, dryer, and seals for 134A
  • High pressure brake booster pump
  • New steering rack and tie rod ends
  • All 8 CV joints rebuilt or replaced with boots
  • Elephant Racing front bushings and strut tops
  • New rear spring plate bushings
  • RS adjustable swaybars on Euro ride height (setup/corner balance at Rothsport in Oregon)
  • New oil lines to/from tank
  • Billet valve covers (lower)
  • New rotors/caps/plugs and Beru plug wires
  • New OEM windshield + OEM seal*
  • All new rear brake lights + center panel*
  • Cup pipe exhaust (primary included)
  • Engine runs flawlessly, uses less than half a quart per oil change (oil changed every 3K miles)
*The car got bumped from behind, and insurance replaced all the tail light plastics, and repainted the rear lid, roof and windshield surround. At that point I opted to have the common rust bubble issue at the bottom rim of the windshield addressed. Thus the new glass and seal too (a 'while-you're-in-there' item...) The paint is great in places, and honestly shows age in others, such as the front hood and leading edges of the rear wheel arches. There is one place where the PO had a detailer get too aggressive with the polish. There are two thin spots showing in the black paint. Also back in 2007 I had a parking lot slide where the front of the car went over a parking curb. One edge of the tub is scratched and dented.

The car is mechanically perfect, with age showing on the paint. I am selling as I have gotten to a point where I want a 993. That's the only reason.
Steve Weiner of Rennsport can back me up on all of this. I have the luck to live close by, and he's been invaluable to me in selecting the right mix of parts/setup for the car. He's seen this car and can vouch for its condition/upkeep.

I don't know why I am so hesitant to sell.. .perhaps I am emotionally attached. I would like to sell through RL soon. Please let me know what you think.

I agree, ~$50k give or take a couple thousand for your C2. Great color by the way.

Tom I'd say your C4 given it's high mileage, accident, and paint would probably fetch $38-$40k.
