Amber Turn Signals
Hi guys,
I've been in an "old school" mood of late and am undoing some of the mods that were more fashionable 12 yrs ago when I first got my car. I've been looking at going back to amber turn signal lenses and was hoping someone could give an opinion on the quality of the so-called Bosch brand lenses that are up for sale considerably cheaper than genuine Porsche lenses. I realize you get what you pay for but if the aftermarket ones are reasonable I'm wiling to take a punt just to see if I will keep amber lenses long term.
Regards,
Neil

Not sure of the Bosch units, though I would imagine they're essentially the same in a different box. I thought that ULO made the front turn signals, though.
If you see ones under the TMP brand... they're cheap for a reason. I did get a set (since my OEs looked bad), and the fit isn't very good at all. Can't expect much for $16.80USD each side, though.

Thanks Chris, I did see the TMP brand on Pelican Parts and they seemed to good to be true! I have seen some on eBay and some specialist sites stating they are selling Bosch brand lenses...though this may be poetic licence! Rennline had some listed for just under $200 a set but ran out before I could pick up a set.

This is interesting because I have had my silver 964 for 10 years with the amber lenses and thought they clashed with the paint color. I bought clear lenses with the intent to smoke them (and the rears) to start a black accent motif. I was planning to replace fog lights with air ducts which would be black as well. Is that a splitter on your car? Which brand? I am also considering a black splitter to complete the treatment. But I have to admit that I am reluctant to diverge from the stock appearance. When these cars were cheaper they were often modded without much consideration for valuation. Now, if you have a good stock example, you think twice (see Dingo's thread)

I have a polar silver car. I had the clear lens but put in the fake brake ducts and actually prefer the amber lens. Clear was too boring up front. I do like the RS lens too btw.

Hello
I ordered a set of after market amber lenses from Ebay and they looked good but they did not fit right at all. I would save up and order OEM.
Good luck
