Default Sportseats alternative (to recaro PP)

Hi all

Well I pretty like the PP in leather/dinamica but cannot enjoy the price tag

I am looking for alternative in vinyl/faux leather only. I consider the sparco sprint sky bit well it lacks on the design side and is a bit heavy.

In the end I need a good looking seat that is ok for track but remains comfortable.

I saw cartonics has some gt3 lookalike seats, might be an option as well but on the high budget side.

I welcome your inputs!

Don't cheap out on seats. Save up until you can afford quality, or keep en eye on the classifieds and eBay for a used set.

Car Bone seats look nice and save you a little money... but for a little more you can get PP. If you ever sell them in the future, you’ll get more of your money back with PPs.

I appreciate pp are grail, there are alternatives in fabric not so many in vinyl.

Btw is a booster seat installable in pp or similar? My daughter enjoys driving with me

I long considered reclining as well like sparco r100 sky (look nice) and maintaining rear seats but fact is I never use them.

Car Bone also has a booster on their website.

I too am thinking about seats, and am hesitant about loosing backseat access (for my kids and road bike).

Couple people have recommended Recaro Sportster CS seats. They look great also.

I wish there was a cheaper option, too - I mean, I guess there are... but anything but OEM, Recaro or some kind of evolution of an OEM seat (custom) just feels like accessories from the local auto parts store. I don’t care for logos on my stuff but RECARO is the only “correct” logo to have, IMO. Even these awesome recaro seats, would prefer with no logo.

Corbeau seats are inexpensive - https://corbeau.com/sport-fixed-back.html

I agree with the others though, save and get some Recaros.

You want seats that are properly crash tested. Whatever the brand. OEM or a proper seat.
Cheap seats are cheap for a reason.

Those leather Sparco Qrt-r’s are really nice as well. I had the cloth version in my car before the Recaro PP. they had a little more waist room. And they fit the 964 nicely as well.

I’m with everyone else save and get the recaro. The cloth option is still really nice and lower entry price point than the leather if that is a main concern.
