993 M030 springs on a 964
Hi friends,
I am looking into upgrading the stock (and old) suspension setup that I have on my 1993 cab. It has 80k miles and it sits too high for my taste. There's a set of 993 M030 springs for sale and I was wondering if it would be possible to pair them with the usual Bilstein HD? Essentially an alternative to H&R that might be too low. You'll agree that it would benefit from a tiny bit of lowering. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...522c936c9d.jpg Thanks! |
993 shocks are ~2" too short for the 964.

You can look at the 964 M030 as another option but the prices are significantly higher than the H&R unless you happen upon a used set. That will get you about an inch lower all the way around. |
Ok thanks, I won't buy them and might look for 964 M030. Everyone raves about the H&R but I still need to confirm that it won't loo too low on a cab.

I have Bilsteins and H&R red turbo springs on my cabrio. After some adjustments I got the stance just perfect and it rides just right. The H&R greens are a little softer than the reds. For a streetable combo you can’t go wrong with Bilstein and H&R springs. As for rubbing you just need to make sure you have the proper offsets on your wheels. |
I will have a set of M030 springs and Bilsteins available in about a month. PM me.
<ack!> Sorry.. 993s are too short. And I can't delete this message. Nevermind. |
