Default High pitched “beeping” when doors are locked?

I know that sounds crazy, but I keep hearing a *very* high pitched beeping from somewhere in the car when the doors have been locked. It’s faint, but annoying enough that we never bother locking the doors while we’re driving (insert inevitable “why would you do that anyway” joke here). I assume that it’s part of the anti theft / alarm system but beeps at that octave are notoriously hard to pinpoint. Any ideas?

Cheers.

Edit: yes, it coincides with the LED blinking

Hey Bill, Yeah, it's the factory alarm beeping.
I've also gone without locking the car while driving too because it's annoying.

Mine does the same and it sounds to me like it's the actual push lock button containing the led, as it beeps in time with the led flashing...
Very high pitch, I'm surprised the car is not surrounded by dogs!

I wonder if new buttons will stop this?
FYI, my alarm system is not in use anymore.
