Yeah- its kinda a bit of work with the switch in the trunk- esp with the factory alarm. I added one as well especially with the winters here when the car is laid up for 1/3 of the year........

How often do you get out in that thing? I put a good load of kilometers on my car in just a year. If I have even just a bit of time I’ll take it out for a good stomp. No good long roads here but lots of fun local stuff if you get out at the right time of the day.

Hey Pete, I think once I work out my door locking problem it won't be too bad. The shed at my current house doesn't have power so a trickle charger wasn't an option. However I'm happy with the switch.

Oh man I think I've done about 120k since the end of January! About 10k a month

I just don't have the time to drive it, however Christmas holidays (summer) is when I use the car non stop, and my parents come over every January so I think it will get plenty of use this year. Last time the parents came over the fan had a crack so didn't get to use it

Plenty of good roads here, I'm looking forward to Christmas holidays this year!

Spent the morning modifying the crappy chrome centre caps that came with my wheels. A bit plain but just makes it look a bit more finished.

Think this will be my next job, seems to be leaking from the valve cover somewhere. Think I'll remove the engine tins for powdercoating and do the valve covers while I'm at it.

Met a guy today at the local auto parts store, he has this sweet 91 c2 tip. Interestingly it was optioned with no sunroof or rear wiper. Love meeting people with 964s and seeing their cars. It's really motivated me to try and find a standard decklid locally after seeing how good they look in the flesh!

Do they make a Porsche center cap for your wheels?

When I was much younger I preferred the wings on the 911, mainly because it “looked” faster. In my early 20’s I started appreciating the more focused, smoother lines of the wingless 911 and it is definitely my preference now. My opinion of course but I do think yours would look even better without the wing.

Looking forward to seeing the new progress Dingo.

Hi mb, yes my wheels have a 71mm center hole, so all the good porsche caps fit. I'm just really unsure what I'm doing with the car... if I can find a standard decklid I'll put the d90s back on! I'm really loving the stock look, like you say your tastes change over time!

There will be some progress over Christmas, with a few bolt ons under the Christmas tree! Then dad will help me with the h&r lowering springs in January

After a bit of research I found it is a sensor for the cat light on the dash which is apparantly on Japanese cars only! So I'm presuming I can leave it unplugged when I install the bypass.
