Ramps work so far. I'll finish them next weekend and drop the oil.

Never done anything like this before. I'm really amazed at how crisp the masking lines are. Definately going to spray the faux rubber strip on my whale tail.

Looks great Dean! Good to see you doing this job properly with new plastic mounts, and not just slapping on some JB Weld like my buddy just did.

hey Jim, thankyou! Unfortunately I'll have to glue 2 of them on as they were already glued on in the past. This has been my favourite project so far, can't wait to see the car back together.

Default Oil change/oil hose replacement

Man that was stressful! Posting this in case I've missed something or stuffed something up. 7 litres of oil came from thermostat and 2 litres came from engine. I forgot to stab a hole in oil filter but think it didn't matter. Now I have to remove the oil tank and replace hoses. Please share your knowledge if I've missed anything!

Draining the oil

New crush rings on drain plugs

Both plugs torqued to 37 ft-lbs

New oil filter installed, smear of oil around seal and tightened hand tight plus a slight turn with oil filter wrench.

Thinking I'll sand blast the tank and paint it with engine enamel.
