Picked Mrs dingo up from work tonight in the Porsche. I think it's the first time I've driven the car in the dark. One thing I noticed is it's very dark inside.
Does anyone know if there is meant to be a light near the shifter to tell me what gear I'm in?

Dean, your car should have a gear indicator on the speedo.

Hey John, yes I have the indicator on the dash. When I got in and went for the shifter I looked down and I couldn't see a thing! I was just wondering if the shift gate was meant to be illuminated or something.

No lights around the shift gate, well not my 993 tip. You have to look at the indicator lights.

Oh man! It's just so dark in there below the dash! I guess I'm still getting used to the car, I just found myself looking down a few times when parking etc' but couldn't see a thing!

Had the car out all morning house hunting, much to Mrs dingo's disappointment (She likes the luxury of her wagon)! We even took it for the weekly grocery shop! I love driving this thing!

I can totally relate to loving to drive the 964. I just can’t get enough. Everybody was out of town Saturday so I went for a 3hr drive in the twisties, came home and took a nap and upon waking up thought- hmmm I think I’ll do another.

As I drive it more regularly I find I’m finally getting to know it’s character and it just gets more fun.

Ha! Same! We were out all Saturday morning when we got home all I wanted to do was head back out! I was even considering getting a job where I could drive it to work! I could even just sit in the shed and look at it but the shed isn't big enough to sit in

Same again! I've had the car just over a year and feel I'm just getting comfortable with it.
I cannot wait for the Christmas holidays to get some real time with it!

Cheers!

Went to see a mate today on the way there the fuel flap kept coming open! Was bloody annoying and had to stop every few minutes to shut it! Havnt investigated further yet.

Haha!

He had an old 79 (I think) with a 964 front that he is turning into a racecar. As well as his super sweet slate grey 964 c4 (which i forgot to get a photo of)
Best part of all he had a spare brake light assembly laying around which I took but for some reason the indicator won't work... I swapped the bulbs from mine and still no good....
