Best that you post a pic of the bolt/nut as that part is updated to 900-976-004-01.

The original is a stud with a nut. The update is an Allen head bolt. The metal is soft on these. You need GOOD quality Allen keys to work on your car. Otherwise you are courting ‘incidents’ with rounded out heads. You also need to use a torque wrench to avoid overdoing things.

Hey John, yeah I'll post a picture later. I currently have the studs with the nuts. Was tightening up a nut and it snapped off! I wasn't giving it much so I put it down to being old! I have good Allen keys but no torque wrench yet. I'l have to look into it as I've never used one and have no idea!

I have a question for John and spokes while I remember.
What fuel do you guys run? When I purchased my car the guy said only use 98 which I have been doing but I have to drive far from home to get it. Is this correct?

Next on my list is new taillights and center reflector. Also a strut to hold the lid up! Anybody know a good source for these?

Struts click on the Amazon link. They work perfect. BTW the car looks good at the gas station, would like to see one that isn't blurry. Looks like great stance and tire fitment.

I mostly run ron95. Closest 98 is 45km away. I honestly can’t tell the difference.

Hey spokes, I just reffered to my enthusiasts companion book, It actually says 95ron (90aki whatever that Is!)
I think I'll continue to use 98 though as I only really fill it up once or twice a year at this stage!

Hi CBA, Thanks for the link. Im sorry i probably wasn't clear enough. My lid seems to be too light for the standard struts unfortunately so I'm thinking of installing some kind of prop to hold it up.

Thanks, I was trying to take that photo without drawing attention to myself! I'l hopefully have the car out today so I'll get some good pictures.

Out and about looking at houses at the moment, lots of stopping and starting, first time I've really drove the car properly. Quite enjoying it. However last time I went to start the car it wound over for at least 10 seconds and once we were driving again the windows wouldn't go down and heater fan wouldn't work either. At the next open home I pulled up and turned car off but started it up straight away to check. It started fine and everything was back to normal.

Any ideas what I should be looking for?
