It looks like I registered in June 2002, although I'd been lurking prior to that.

It got me thinking this morning, so i had a little nosey around at some of the members I knew then.

Seems they are pretty thin on the ground, so out of sheer speculation, I thought why not poll the 964 crowd, and see who's still here.

I was here back in the mid 90’s when it was called Porschelist, then absent awhile when it switched over to Rennlist.

I think i was 2010...but the first thing i did was to read an enormous amount of the old threads from back in your early days. The amount of information and the tightness of the group on rennlist sealed the deal for me to buy a 964 over anything else. Everyone i knew at the time was pushing me to a 993, or a 3.2 g50 Carrera.

And all i wanted was someone to tell me that 964 weren't bad cars. And that's what i found here. That everyone else had gotten it all wrong.

I was also here in the 90's. I think I left around 99, came back a few years ago - very different, but still very helpful.

I was digging up the old site (porschelist.com). Unfortunately there were only 8 snapshots between December 5, 1998 - April 17, 1999 (https://web.archive.org/web/*/porschelist.com) and none of them captured the site. The first snapshot from Rennlist in 1999 had this interesting RSA For Sale Ad. I'm wondering if the car is still for sale - Hahahahaha

https://web.archive.org/web/19990508...0/for_sale.htm

Thanks!
Andrew

Was on the old list when I had my 911S and SC and signed up for Rennlist when I bought the 964 in 2003.

Certainly some members well before my time.

Anyone remember I think Viken, Mr Streathers and Lorenfb's discussions..

There were some interesting relationships in my early days....

I thought I registered in 2001 when I bought my car, but apparently I did not join immediately.

An interesting aspect of having been around for a while is that I sometimes see a thread that looks interesting, and when scrolling through, realize that I posted in it over 10 years ago. Creeping senility, I guess.
