I got mine at sunset a few years ago, around $900 shipped but be aware that they are not the same as the original SWF, I think they were made in France and I didnt care for the color. I ended up finding a really nice SWF German set on fleabay and sold the newer ones..

Ha......... seems any interest I'd raised from potential sellers was nabbed by other "pm sent'rs." Funny how that works. Anyhoo....... In the mean time, I found several sources and surprisingly, my local Porsche dealer is in line with the ebay sellers. Add in a 10% PCA membership discount, it's a win. Still, it's a pretty sizable purchase, so I'm wondering....
I really have no local cars to compare to. Maybe mine are not too faded? I was mainly worried about some condensation gathering in one of the tail lights.
What say you, sayers?

If those were on my car I would contact "gus" on this forum and get his tint film kit and patiently wait for a nice set to come up
My new ones faded way too quick and of course had moisture gathering as well
Contact this ebay seller and see if he has another set

I talked to Gus in the recent past. Might reach out to him and conduct some commerce.
Do mine look faded enough to to the tint film or replace, in your opinion?

There is a vacuum hose that connects to the lights which should take care of any condensation issues.

Are yours too faded? For my taste, yes.
But from the only relevant perspective, your taste, too?...
I found a quick, satisfying, (and for me, less bankrupting) way to get around this was tail light film being offered by Gus. Did it back - God! -- has it been 8 years, now?! Still looks great, was a satisfying and easy job to do, and is QUITE inexpensive.
Certainly, getting new plastic is an option. And if you've got the coin that WOULD solve your condensation problem.
Have you taken out that 'moisturing' light to see where moisture's seeping in? (An exterior surface crack WOULD get plugged by tail light film... Just saying. But first you'd want to dry out that cavity so as not to forever entomb the water. And obviously get it positively vented.*)
*Funny, but my Corolla certainly doesn't require little jury-rigged, pressurized, sling shot tubing to keep ITS tail lights condensation-free.
(Don't get me started on what I think of this particular topic: it's crap design out of Porsche from an engineering perspective.)

This forum is both super as well as duper.
I appreciate the feedback. Will be happy when I too can give supportive feedback.
Now to contact Gus and buy some film.
Thanks much.

Another option would be to find a local body shop that will tint some clear coat red and spray them for you. It shouldn't cost too much and if done correctly will look really good. I would have done this to my originals if they weren't falling apart. I ended up buying the replacements, and as some body said, they're not quite as red as the originals. When I finally respray my car, I'll get mine sprayed.
