Rodney at Classic 9 in Detroit. He reupholstered the CS seats to match the reupholstered rear seats, the headliner, the tops of the door trim and the center console. While he was at it he put the slots in.

Love the seats. Have you tried them out yet and how about the final fitment of them? Can you put them all the way back? After reading the thread sounds like they are a tight fit. I'm 6'3" and have stock sport seats now but these look comfortable and more sporty. Thanks Joe

I hope to drive it for the first time this weekend. They seem to fit well but I haven't driven it yet!

Default 993 seat belt tongue won’t go into Recaro CS seat belt anchor.

The male part of the 993 seat belt won’t go into the female part that comes with the seat. Apparently too wide. Seats are about 3 years old and coming out of ‘16 Cayman. Anyone else having this problem, and if so, how to solve? I thought all seat belt latches were universal.

Need some help/advice. I tried researching and reading every DIY blog/thread I could before posting.

I bought a pair of Recaro CS seats for my 993 Turbo and they won't fit. I'm 6 3' and they aren't even close. more like someone who's 5 9'. I've tried Wedge Engineering and Planted brackets. Took the car to two different shops after I couldn't make it work...They didn't have any luck obviously. I even bought those Cantrell *****...

I'm using Recaro universal sliders without tabs.

Pictures and the exact brand of bracket used would greatly be appreciated.

What do you mean by “ they won’t fit”?
please elaborate and perhaps we can help.
My set fits, though a little snug, but they do fit and slide. They don’t slide completely back due to carpet thickness.
I attached the seat to recaro rails / no tabs, and then to the car.
you don’t need the cantrell thin wheel, you can cut the metal rod by 8 mm and reattach the Recaro *****.
You cant use the ***** if you don’t cut the metal rod!
you need to put the seat in first, move the seat belt forward of the recline ****, then attach the recaro plastic **** back on. Otherwise the seat won’t slide or fit.

I'm using Recaro sliders attached to Wedge engineering brackets, which are attached to the floor. The Planted brackets are for flat bottom seats unlike the sportster CS. You're saying scrap the brackets and attach the sliders straight to the floor?

The seat is riding high and can't slide all the way back. If you look at post #12 you can see how the **** sits lower than the one in my picture...brackets right?

Cantrell is going on since I'm already invested.

Really appreciate the quick response.

Lose the Wedge Engineering Bracket. You should be able to bolt the universal recaro sliders directly to the seat rails.

Any comments in terms of how they sit relative to factory seats. I’m 6’3 long torso and in driving position I’m already close the the headliner with the factory seats. Also the factory seat is all the way back.

Pete.
