I am a new 964 owner. I am after some 205/55R16's. Have you got any suggestions for good tyres. I use the car every day but do not want to go mad. It looks as though I could spend anything between £60 and £110.

My recommendation is to buy the same tire as you have on the rear. Mixing tire models can lead to some very odd driving stability.

Change 2 tyres you change them all. C4 or C2. Both are very sensitive to mixing and matching. In fact it can get quite dangerous over 60 mph.
On the costing I cannot offer any recommendations because I have no idea how much tyres cost in the UK and nor do I know what tyres are you after.
I only think in summer and winter tyres.
Please let us know what you are looking for but I am sure the tyres I recommend are going to be outside your budget.
As a brands Toyo, Bridgestone and Michelin for this part of the world.
