Don't forget to measure the runout of the pulley. The procedure is described in the factory workshop manual.

Neil,
I used a normal strap wrench that I already had in my tool collection. Removed the rubber strap, purchased a spare Gates Micro-V K060288 belt, cut it in half, and devised a way to jam one end of it into the strap wrench.

Worth replacing the bolt if it is an old one without the shoulder.

Which if I recall correctly is 18mm so had to buy a new deep socket to tighten it when using the tool.
