Default 964 Buildsheet

Hi Guys,

I am looking to get the build sheet for a 964 Speedster. I've already tried the rennlist VIN decorder but no cigar. Other VIN decoder websites show inconsistent information such as mileage and build year while others state "VIN was not found or is from an unsupported manufacturer"

VIN is WPOCB2963RS465304 with 6/93 build date. I don't have access to any vehicle docs at the moment.

Appreciate what you can find on this vehicle including listed options.

Thanks!

The issue is you have an O in the VIN instead of a 0.

Aha!

Weird, the VIN I pulled from the driver side door jam had a distinct O and looks different from the 0. Is this typical of Porsche VINs?

Well, it appears the VIN decoder doesn't list the options. More homework to do.

Thanks!

O is never used only 0.

Are you sure this is correct. I would check the option sticker under the hood or in the service manual to verify.

I used Porsche info to adjust what you have although Stuttgart is a great resource

I'm assuming this is the speedster tip that has been for sale?

No, A1V9 should be black.

Hi Cobalt,

The Speedster is a non-op vehicle in really poor condition both interior and exterior.

It unfortunately has a Strosek mega widebody body kit but with standard Porsche headlamps.

For a second thought it was a factory TL but build sheet says otherwise.

BTW, it has interior RS door cards but not listed in the buildsheet.

I'm going to check underneath the trunk lid to find out more.

Thanks for joining me in my journey to unlock the mystery.

PS. Which speedster were you referring to? The one on BaT?

The mystery deepens. Current exterior color is silver.

If you pull back the trunk carpeting, the original paint code decal should be on the left side (towards the front, above the side "rail" below the headlight).

Example:

Also get a pic of the VIN/option decal under the hood if you can.

Hi John,

Since I am not the owner I did not want to fork over the $120+ cost for the COA.

I pulled the build sheet from Sun Coast Porsche in FL. Cost was only $10.

I am not sure where Sun Coast gets their info. I hypothesize they access the same Porsche network and that I would expect the Porsche COA build sheets to match.

Has anyone submitted their VINs to www.decodemyporsche.com? They advertise it as a free service.

If you have a dealer connection they can do that for you easily. Porsche uses that for COA as well. Suncoast has nothing crazy.

Thank you I figured that out late last night and ordered the build sheet from Suncoast, since my car MY91 C2 Tip was repainted in the late 90's and I am returning her to her origanal Mint Green the 10 dollars to Suncoast seemed a better idea than the COA 😁
THANKS AGAIN!
