Targa rear glass seal??

Targa rear glass seal??
I'm just in the planning stages of a respray. So I'm trying to source whatever rubber will need to be replaced. Mine is in good shape, but I tend to fall into the "as long as" mind set when I get in very deep.
Looks like the rear glass seal for a Targa is NLA. Anyone know if this is true, or where one could be acquired??
I know someone who is reproducing a number of Porsche weather seals, but of course a perfect example is required to make a mold.
To be honest, I haven't taken anything apart yet, as it will be at least a year before this will happen, but as with so many vintage Porsche parts, there's a big plus to getting what you need as early on as possible.

What part number are you looking for? Sunset seems to have the rear glass seal (964-545-052-40)

"Unfortunately not at this time although Porsche has started reproduction of a replacement that will have a new price and part number but we cannot provide an eta."
I did send a message to Sonnen to check since they show it as available, too.

There's a bit of confusion on the Sunset page https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...bC1oNi1nYXM%3D
They show part# 964-545-052, but the website says part shown (#23) is actually part #964-504-765-40. I hope they have it at $192.62.
The dealer I get parts from says there's no stock, doesn't say NLA though, and no super secession.

I can confirm there are not any of these left in the world. I bought the last but one from France, at the time I checked absolutely everywhere. There was one other in Germany but I expect it has gone by now.
You must preserve the old one when you remove the glass, not at all easy. The other part number is for the early Targa seal, there are plenty of those.

I wonder how the older seal would look if the trim is also used. Or not used. Probably not too terribly different.

Just to bring this back up, the current US-version of PET (dated July 24 2017) has 964-545-052-41 listed (along with 964-545-052-40) as the [sealing frame] for the Targa.
Time to make some inquiries, I believe.

Sonnen advised that they don't have pricing or an ETA for the seal. They are unable to get an ETA without an order, and can't order without a price. Sunset advised they don't have pricing or availability as well. No reply from Suncoast. So to me, it seems like it's in a pending status although that's still progress and somewhat promising.

Wanted to bump this for an update.
Today I attended the Porsche Classic ceremony at Porsche Jacksonville (nee Brumos), and spoke with one of the Classic guys from PCNA. So it appears that, yes, the seal is going to be reintroduced. I have the parts manager there checking on the actual ETA and price. Will inform when I receive an answer.
