Default Simple & Sublime (SharkWerks’ 964)

Speedhunter's feature:

SharkWerks’ simple interpretation of a daily driver 964 just goes to show how good this car is from the factory and what you can accomplish with a limited amount of fiddling about.

I always like the sharkwerks creations!

Honestly, beside the color combo which has never been my favorite on any car, I would have done the following:

Recaro Pole Position - those Recaro look too big for the 964
Colored headlight rings (I hate chrome)
Evened out the front bumper cover

Other than that - it looks stunning!

what is missing from the build list in that article? They attribute a programable ECU to a 35hp increase. I struggle to believe that by itself an ECU makes that improvement.

The owner, some 964 owner/followers/customers, and that junior Porsche journalist that doesn't know anything about 964 brakes go off about their great "sharkwerks 964" builds but I don't see where sharkwerks makes/sells any 964 modifications.

The car has mods that have been the staple of modified 964 ownership for as long as I can remember but I guess if you don't know 964s, you think he's being some type of 964 pioneer (like he was for 4.1I GT3 motors).

The engine management is from these guys.

What exactly do you mean regarding the front bumper?

Thanks

Motec standalone certainly could. Not sure what the SW car has.

Probably meant shave/fill the license plate recess. I can't wait to do mine (and delete the headlight washers.)

Exactly I am talking about the license plate recess.

i agree that a 35hp gain just from reprogramming seems...optimistic!

Perhaps the 35Hp gain also includes some changes to the exhaust which technically aren’t legal here in CA and likely can’t be published.

Usually love speedhunters Porsche content. This read like a paid advertisement for sharkwerks... like their kw suspension "articles"

OK. How does one go about filling the license plate recess?

I DM'd them on IG about this ECU tune. They haven't responded yet but I'll share when/if they do.

Nice, simple build. I would have skipped the chrome headlight bezels, though. They feel out of place to me.

The article mentions an aftermarket Delta ECU from the UK, these guys make a kit for the 964, so it's the equivalent of installing a motec and far from a reprogram.
