Default Wheel Fitment for 964 Non-Turbo Widebody

Looked and searched a few places, but not coming up with any definitive answer as to whether a 1994 C4 Turbolook (widebody) has the same wheel fitment as a 964 Turbo?

What parameters for 18" wheels can accommodate these 964 widebodies?

I'm thinking of 18" BBS LM or 18" BBS E88 for my widebody.

Thanks in advance for any insight, information.

Hello - take a look at the link below. It's a great guide on wheel fitment and spacing/offset.

You can use the 964 Turbo for a guideline/parameters on your 964 C4 WB. Your car is built on a turbo body.

Last year I had Jim Dorociak build me a set of 18" Speedlines that he had in his garage just waiting to be reconditioned. They fit great on my 94 Widebody C4 Coupe and they look awesome. The width and offsets for the 94 3.6 turbo wheels work just fine. Next step will be Bilstein PSS10's and lowering a bit.

I just went through this whole process. There is some good information out there but nothing 100% reassuring. I ended up contacting BBS directly regarding my fitment question and combined that with what others have done before me. The verdict is that some people like to go more aggressive, like me. But a safe bet is to go with 18 x8.5 in front and 18x10.5 in the rears, assuming stock turbo trailing arms. I took it one step further and went with 18x9 et 48 front and 18x11 et 54 rear. I had to roll the fenders and pulled the rears a bit more to get everything to fit. I have no rubbing and I'm at around RS -10 on height, running H&R deep coilovers. Truth be told, I had some doubts if this setup would work. I was delighted that it did.

I would double check those numbers an 11 ET 54 will push the rear wheel out 20mm over a stock 3.6T 10". I tried running 15mm spacers and it isn't possible with stock rolled flairs. I tried using turbo twist wheels as well at 10" ET40 and they did not work and IMO it isn't worth damaging the body for the fit. The gain is not significant enough.

The general rule of thumb is 10.5" width is the max you can safely fit in the rear with WB trailing arms. You can run up to 12" wide if you convert to NB trailing arms.

I asked Gert and he mentioned that with BBS E88 he would build as 8x18 ET49 and 10x18 ET49.

Et 49 in the rear? I would think that would stick outside the fender. Should be more like et 61.
