I really enjoy riding in my car with the sunroof open, which is how the car gets used in the warmer months.

Agree 100%, get it removed!

Not a 964 but a clean sunroofless roof:

Nice. Looking forward to seeing the end result. Will BBI use the same method as used on Larry Ammo NYCs C4?

This. Or so what I did and use the rug aero trim to fill in the A pillar, and I kept the rest of the gutter seeing as I do drive in the rain.

a reason that is not commonly mentioned:
the sunroof was the reason my 993 was written off.
was parked outside and out of town when a torrential rainstorm flooded the car due to clogged sunroof drains. came home to a few inches of water in the car, which had ruined all the modules under the seats and soaked up into the wiring loom to the point that the entire loom needed to be replaced. insurance company refused to undertake that risky endeavor.
i haven't even found the switch to operate the sunroof on my 964 yet.

I used the same thing and agree. They do much more than you realize especially if there are cross winds at high speeds.

If it's really 45lbs all in, then with the glass RSA wing (remove all mechanicals, stock decklid), LWFW, all insulation/sound removal, + the welded bar I may get down to 3700 lbs wet. Car is at like 3500 now but no glass in it, seats missing, etc, etc :-)

3700 seems conservative. I think my car came it at 3660 at my last alignment with fluids. I still have a sunroof and factory wing. Lexan rear windscreen though.
